Star sensor is the most accurate attitude sensor in spacecrafts system. This sensor extracts the features of taken picture from the stars in its field of view, compares them with the stored catalogs in the memory, and then determines the attitude in three axes with the help of the extracted features. Star sensor hardware consists of lens, baffle, detector driver, processing board, and body, and its algorithms include centroiding, identification, and attitude determination. The same hardware has the ability to increase the speed up to about 15 Hz, and in addition, it has a higher Slew Rate at the same time.
