Fluxgate and Anisotropic Magneto-Resistance (AMR) Magnetometers Technology

About for Project

The fluxgate magnetometer and its improved version are tri-axial vector magnetometers based on the magnetic flux variations in sensitive and high-precision magnetic cores. This product offers high accuracy and large functional range in measuring magnetic field, which can be used in various applications where measuring static magnetic field variations, stability against environmental effects, and long lifespan are required. The AMR magnetometer is a tri-axial vector magnetometer based on the resistance technology and used in applications such as navigation and magnetic anomaly detection. Utilizing sensitive section on integrated circuit technology rather than bulky toroid core, leads to shorter lifespan and less noise, compared to the fluxgate magnetometer. These magnetometers are produced in one of the unique laboratories of Iranian Space Research Center, achieving magnetic noises better than 20 nT.
