Non-explosive Spool Type Pin Puller

About for Project

Pin pullers are essential components in space mechanisms, serving critical functions such as releasing solar arrays, antennas, and separating satellite from their launchers. They are also used to connect fuel storage tanks and launcher fairings. These non-explosive pin pullers come in various types, including spool, paraffin, and shape memory alloy, each tailored for specific applications.

Application: Suitable for simultaneous release mechanisms, including satellite and launcher mechanisms, as well as antenna and panel release mechanisms.

Operation: When current is applied to the link wire, it breaks, causing the spool pieces to separate. The pin is then pulled into the housing by spring force, allowing the installed assembly to release.

Advantages:

– Exceptional reliability
– Rapid release time (under 50 ms)
– High tolerance to thermal shock
– Resilience to launch vibrations
– Reusable with spool assembly
– Low power consumption
